Job summary

Canadian Tire Real Estate Limited is seeking a Business Analyst to translate complex construction and forecasting data into actionable insights, supporting Lucernex administration, testing, and system enhancements. You will work across finance, operations, and technology to explain drivers, risks, and assumptions.

The role requires strong communication, data analytics, and experience with SQL, JavaScript, Excel, and Power BI, plus familiarity with Lucernex or similar cost-management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in financial forecasting or construction analytics.
• Strong understanding of construction cost drivers and forecasting principles.
• Working knowledge of SQL and JavaScript.
• Experience administering a system, onboarding user access, workflow configuration, and testing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with AI-enabled analytics tools to support decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Lucernex (Accruent) or similar capital-project systems and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Forecast forecasting data, identify drivers and variances, and explain implications.
• Translate datasets into dashboards and executive-ready narratives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Construction, and Estimating to align forecasts.
• Develop dashboards and models using Excel and Power BI; automate analyses.
• Support Lucernex administration, user onboarding, testing, and issue resolution.
