Job description

Canadian Tire Corporation — one of Canada's most admired retail companies — is looking for a Forecasting Analyst to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a role at the core of the business, sitting at the intersection of data, strategy, and retail operations, with a direct impact on the company's financial health and product availability nationwide.

In this position, you'll be building product-level demand forecasts for regular, promotional, and seasonal activities across an assigned business category. You'll draw on historical data, market intelligence, and tools like JDA Software to guide inventory and shipment planning — work that keeps Canadian Tire's shelves stocked and its business moving forward.

About the Role: Forecasting Analyst

The Forecasting Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts for both consumer and dealer (store) demand within a specific product category. Success in this role is measured by continuous improvement in forecast error and bias reduction, as well as improvement in store service levels.

Collaboration is central to this role. You'll work closely with Category Business Managers, Category Business Planners, Marketing Promotional Planners, Replenishment Analysts, and a Forecasting Manager — making your ability to communicate clearly and build relationships across teams just as important as your analytical skills.
