Job summary

A leading financial services provider in Toronto is seeking a Supervisor for Fund Accounting to oversee operational deliverables and manage client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate accounting with over 5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and a professional accounting designation. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public/private real estate accounting work experience.
• Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
• Designated accountant or working towards CPA (or equivalent).
• Previous experience supervising/coaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete and review operational deliverables in line with Service Level Agreements.
• Liaise with multiple external parties including auditors and legal counsel.
• Support open-ended fund teams with AXI allocation needs.
• Assist with implementation of system upgrades and training staff.

Skills

Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP

Excellent communication skills in English

Experience in Limited Partnership accounting

Supervising and coaching staff

General ledger and financial statements preparation

Education

Bachelor or Master level degree in accounting

Professional accounting designation preferred
