Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Ready Mix Driver to safely deliver concrete to Cambridge and surrounding areas.

This full-time role offers an hourly wage starting at $27.40, with probationary terms per the collective agreement, and opportunities for growth within a premier North American contractor network. You will operate Class AZ or DZ trucks, perform inspections, maintain logs, and uphold Amrize’s safety standards on every job site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class AZ or DZ license with an Air Brake endorsement.
• Experience operating manual transmissions.
• Previous construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation is an asset; training provided.
• Clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) and commitment to safety.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to projects.
• Operate late-model Class AZ or DZ trucks, performing pre/post-trip inspections.
• Represent the company on-site and build relationships with customers.
• Maintain delivery logs and complete project paperwork.
• Load and unload concrete following safety procedures and customer specifications.
• Promote and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.

About The Role

We are looking for dedicated Class AZ or DZ drivers to join our team and be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to various job sites in and around Cambridge & surrounding area. At Amrize Canada Inc., we pride ourselves on maintaining a "premiere" standard—from the quality of our concrete to the safety of our fleet.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to the region’s most iconic infrastructure and residential projects.
• Operate late-model, well-maintained Class AZ or DZ trucks (Mainly automatic transmission), performing meticulous pre/post-trip inspections.
• Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site, fostering strong relationships with our diverse customer base.
• Champion a "Zero Harm" culture by adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Perform daily inspections of assigned ready-mix trucks and document findings.
• Load and unload concrete according to strict safety procedures and customer mix specifications.
• Maintain digital/manual delivery logs and complete all necessary project paperwork.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensing: Valid Class AZ or DZ Driver’s License with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Technical Skill: Proven experience operating manual transmissions.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation is an asset. Training is provided for those new to the industry.
• Reliability: A clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) and a rock-solid commitment to safety.
• Physical Readiness: Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing truck ladders and lifting chutes (up to 50 pounds).
• Flexibility: Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with Saturdays and evenings as required.

Additional Requirements

• Must meet requirements for distance, peripheral, and depth perception to navigate busy construction sites.
• Comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
