Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Ready Mix Driver to deliver concrete to sites around M’Chigeeng, Ontario. You will operate late-model AZ/DZ trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safety in all operations.

We offer competitive hourly wages starting at $25.30 per hour under the collective agreement, with benefits including health, dental, pension and EFAP. Strong safety record and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ or DZ license with air brake endorsement.
• Experience operating manual transmissions.
• Background in construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation preferred.
• Clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) required.
• Able to handle physically demanding tasks (ladder climbing, lifting).
• Available Monday to Friday; some Saturdays/evenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to projects in the M’Chigeeng region.
• Operate AZ or DZ trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections to stay road-ready.
• Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site with customers.
• Maintain logs and documentation for deliveries and maintenance.
• Communicate with Dispatch and Plant personnel to coordinate deliveries.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies at all times.
• Assist with minor vehicle maintenance and keep the cab clean.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Drive for the Premiere Ready-Mix Provider. This isn’t just a driving job; it’s a career with Amrize Canada Inc., a leader in the Ontario construction industry. We are looking for dedicated Class AZ or DZ drivers to join our team and be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to various job sites in and around the M’Chigeeng area. Hourly Wage to Start: $25.30/Hour as per the collective agreement.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to the region’s most iconic infrastructure and residential projects.
• Operate late-model, well-maintained Class AZ or DZ trucks (manual transmission), performing meticulous pre/post-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is road‑ready.
• Act as a professional brand ambassador on‑site, fostering strong relationships with our diverse customer base.
• Champion a "Zero Harm" culture by adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Take advantage of internal promotion opportunities and professional development within our global network.
• Perform daily inspections of assigned ready‑mix trucks and document findings.
• Load and unload concrete according to strict safety procedures and customer mix specifications.
• Maintain digital/manual delivery logs and complete all necessary project paperwork.
• Maintain constant, professional communication with Dispatch and Plant Personnel.
• Perform minor routine maintenance and keep the cab and exterior of the vehicle clean.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid Class AZ or DZ Driver’s License with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Proven experience operating manual transmissions.
• Previous experience in construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation is an asset. We do provide training and safety training for those new to the industry.
• A clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) and a rock‑solid commitment to safety.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing truck ladders and lifting chutes.
• Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with Saturdays and evenings as required by our high‑volume project schedule.
• Must meet requirements for distance, peripheral, and depth perception to navigate busy construction sites.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
