Moray Council is seeking a part-time clerk to provide specialist support for FOI, DPA and EISR requests. You will co-ordinate responses within set timeframes and offer clerical support to the Information Governance Manager and DPO.
The role requires clerical experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a strong eye for accuracy. You will manage workloads, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
To provide specialist support and co-ordination for requests in respect of Freedom of Information (FOI), Data Protection (DPA) and Environmental Information Scotland Regulations (EISR) for the whole Council.
Co-ordinate and assess responses to all information requests within specific timeframes.
Provide clerical support service to the Information Governance Manager & DPO
Experience of relevant clerical work, including word processing, record keeping and filing.
Experience in using Microsoft software packages
Minimum of 6 Standard Grades or equivalent, including English, at level 3 or above.
High level of accuracy.
Ability to organise, manage & prioritise own workload with minimal supervision.
Ability to use initiative when required.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Effective telephone manner.
Ability to tackle issues with sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion.
Effective organisational/ time management skills with the ability to respond to conflicting and competing demands.
Understanding of, and ability to, demonstrate key inter-personal skills, both on the telephone and face to face.
