Job description

Métis Nation University Sponsorship provides opportunities for full-time Métis university students to reach their academic goals. The program is funded by the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan and administered by the Gabriel Dumont Institute until March 31, 2026. Students are selected using a blind adjudication process and ranked based on criteria aligned with Métis Nation-Saskatchewan priority areas. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. July 1, 2025.

Priority Order for Sponsorship Allocation
MN-S has identified key impact areas aligned with its goals, considering labour market needs, future trends within the Métis government, and societal impact. Funding is limited, and not all students may be approved. Sponsorship will be allocated as follows:

• Full-time undergraduate/bachelor’s degree students in tuitioned (student-paid) programs.
• Graduate/master’s degree students.Graduate funding is a priority #2, considering workforce competitiveness and the increasing demand for advanced degrees for specialized, leadership, and expert roles.
• Full-time undergraduate/bachelor’s degree students in tuition-free programs.
