Athena Care Homes is seeking a Housekeeper for Ashlynn Grange Care Home in Peterborough. The role reports to the Head Housekeeper and focuses on delivering high cleaning standards to keep residents safe, comfortable and happy.

Working 36 hours per week on a rota basis, you will be paid £12.71 per hour with a comprehensive induction, holiday entitlement and banking holiday enhancements. This position offers a supportive team and opportunities to contribute to a caring environment.

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous, but training provided.
• A passion for care – putting residents' needs first.

As a Housekeeper at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service within the home.

About Ashlynn Grange Care Home:

Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153-bed care home in Peterborough. The home prides itself on the surrounding gardens that grow flowers and a variety of different vegetables.

The level of care at Ashlynn Grange is exceptional, and all staff love to keep residents entertained with a full programme of activities and live performances on our outdoor stage. Our newly refurbished café is available to our residents and their visitors, serving a variety of fresh tea, coffee and cakes daily.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning are delivered in the home to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

£12.71 per hour.

Shift Pattern:

36 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Home Location:

Bretton Gate, Peterborough, PE3 9UZ.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule, ensuring the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene are maintained.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are being met and that infection control policies and universal precautions are followed at all times.
• To actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
• A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
