Job summary

American Iron and Metal (AIM) is seeking a Line Operator for its Montréal site. You will operate production line equipment, monitor performance, and ensure quality and safety while supporting daily production activities.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will adjust parameters, maintain data records in CMMS, and collaborate with multiple teams to sustain smooth operations on the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good command of French, both spoken and written.
• Comfort using computer tools.
• Conscientious, organized and safety-conscious.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and can also work independently.
• Experience in an industrial or production environment is an asset.
• Experience as a production operator or with industrial equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment at the beginning of the shift and report any issues to the Team Leader.
• Adjust equipment and production parameters as needed.
• Ensure a consistent flow of material on the production line.
• Monitor equipment performance and take action when issues arise.
• Check the quality of processed material and ensure it meets established standards.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Enter data, create work orders in the CMMS and complete required reports.
• Work safely and follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with different teams to ensure smooth production operations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
