Bothwell-Accurate is seeking a Re-Roofing Estimator to deliver accurate bids for projects involving replacement or recovery of existing roofs. You will assess roof conditions, account for demolition and disposal costs, and ensure compliance with updated building codes for retrofit work.

The role requires 3+ years in roofing estimating, proficiency with blueprints, and strong analytical skills. Onsite Ottawa/Winchester-based position with a competitive salary and bi-weekly pay schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in roofing estimating.
• Experience in re-roofing and retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR).
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specs.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify hidden costs and contingencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift) is an asset.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Review project plans, specifications, inspection reports, and related documents to prepare accurate estimates for re-roofing projects.
• Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing roof conditions, including core cuts and moisture scans as required.
• Identify potential structural issues, water damage, and substrate repairs that could affect scope and cost.
• Factor in demolition, tear-off, and disposal requirements in all cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing for retrofit materials and equipment.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals with contingency planning.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales, and estimating team to align goals, schedules, and budgets.
• Track and manage changes to project scope as site conditions evolve.
• Assist with post-bid reviews and handoffs to operations for smooth execution.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring to the Team

• 3+ years of experience in roofing estimating, with specific experience inre-roofing and retrofit projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, ModifiedBitumen, BUR) and their associated installation methods, tear-off methods,and retrofit installation practices
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and existingroof condition reports
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to anticipate hidden costs and plan for contingencies in complexretrofit work
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
• Experience with estimating software is an asset (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift,etc.)
• Valid driver’s license

• Location: Ottawa – 12260 Gypsy Lane, Winchester, ON
• Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite
• Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
• Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly, every second Friday
• Reports To: Re-Roofing Estimating Manager
