Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. is seeking a Re-Roofing Estimator to deliver accurate bids for roof replacement and retrofit projects across Ontario.

This role requires expertise in assessing current roof conditions, demolition and disposal costs, detecting hidden damage, and ensuring compliance with updated building codes. You will review plans, conduct site visits, quantify costs, and prepare detailed breakdowns in collaboration with project managers and the estimating team.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of roofing estimating experience, specifically re-roofing and retrofit projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR).
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, specs and existing roof condition reports.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to anticipate hidden costs and plan contingencies for complex retrofit work.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with estimating software is an asset (Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
• Valid driver’s license required.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Re-Roofing Estimator to play a key role in delivering accurate and competitive bids for projects involving the replacement or recovery of existing roofs. This role requires expertise in assessing current roof conditions, accounting for demolition and disposal costs, identifying potential hidden damage, and ensuring compliance with updated building codes for retrofit projects. What You’ll Do

• Review project plans, specifications, inspection reports, and related documents to prepare accurate estimates for re-roofing projects
• Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing roof conditions, including core cuts and moisture scans as required
• Identify potential structural issues, water damage, and substrate repairs that could affect scope and cost
• Factor in demolition, tear-off, and disposal requirements in all cost breakdowns
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and availability for retrofit-compatible materials and equipment
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals that include contingency planning for unforeseen issues
• Collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and the estimating team to ensure project goals, schedules, and budgets align
• Track and manage changes to project scope, ensuring estimates remain accurate as new site conditions emerge
• Assist with post-bid reviews and participate in project handoffs to operations to ensure smooth project execution

What You Bring to the Team

• 3+ years of experience in roofing estimating, with specific experience in re-roofing and retrofit projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR) and their associated installation methods, tear-off methods, and retrofit installation practices
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and existing roof condition reports
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to anticipate hidden costs and plan for contingencies in complex retrofit work
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
• Experience with estimating software is an asset (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license

Role Snapshot

• Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite
• Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
• Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly, every second Friday
