Job summary

Air Transat in Canada seeks an experienced Ramp Supervisor to lead ramp teams and ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with airport policies. The role emphasizes safety culture and effective supervision in a busy cargo and passenger handling environment.

You will coach staff, coordinate with authorities, and manage delays and irregular operations, requiring strong leadership, organization, and bilingual communication to ensure seamless ramp performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent experience related to the field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in the airline/aerospace industry as a ramp agent and/or ramp team lead.
• Must hold a class 5 driver's license.
• RAIC card and DA ramp permit (an asset).
• 2 years of experience in employee management.
• Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations for airlines, CBSA and USCBP.
• Ground operations and understanding of flight operations.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills, plus teamwork and leadership.
• Flexible and able to work day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Must obtain RAIC card and hold a class 5 driver's license.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp work teams.
• Ensure compliance with airport policies and baggage handling procedures for arrivals and departures.
• Perform station inspections, identify corrective actions and ensure implementation.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams.
• Manage station delays, emergencies and irregular operations.
• Coordinate with airport authorities and government agencies.
• Manage various ramp‑related reports.
