Job summary

Nolinor is looking for a full-time ramp agent in Yellowknife to oversee ground operations around operating aircraft. You will supervise the loading/unloading of cargo, assist with towing and refueling, and support the maintenance and handling of aircraft, including dangerous goods documentation.

The role is on-site with a 40-hour work week, offering a comprehensive benefits package, employer-contributed RRSP, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English with clear communication to colleagues and suppliers.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and physically able to perform tasks.
  • Day and/or evening rotation availability as required.
  • High school diploma is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the loading and unloading of cargo in Yellowknife and at destination.
  • Complete documentation for the transport of dangerous goods.
  • Perform towing and refueling of aircraft when necessary.
  • Assist the maintenance team in aircraft preparation.
  • Act as technical support for customers and suppliers.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

Job description

Nolinor is looking for a full-time ramp agents, who resides in Yellowknife. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of ground activities surrounding aircraft in operation. The agent will accompany the aircraft during its flights to remote destinations (usually returning to Yellowknife the same evening) to oversee the loading/unloading of cargo. All necessary theoretical training for the mentioned tasks will be provided before the employee’s first day of work.

  • Supervise the loading/unloading of cargo in Yellowknife and at destination;
  • Complete the necessary documentation for the transport of dangerous goods;
  • Perform towing and refueling of aircraft when necessary;
  • Assist the maintenance team in aircraft preparation;
  • Act as technical support for customers and suppliers;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
  • High school diploma, an asset;
  • Available for day and/or evening rotations;
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 2, an asset);
  • Good physical condition;
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions;
  • Have a functional French, both oral and written, an asset ;
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, to communicate with colleagues, customers and suppliers;
  • Experience in the aviation industry, an asset.
