Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking an ATS Rail Systems Engineering Manager for a leading rail manufacturer in the Toronto area. The role requires strong leadership of multi-site engineering teams and deep expertise in ATS and railway control systems.

You will oversee software design, data preparation, system integration, and governance across validation and verification activities, while coordinating with customers, suppliers, and partners through testing, commissioning, and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Significant engineering management experience leading complex technical projects, including multi-site engineering teams.
  • Strong railway systems experience with a focus on ATS and/or rail control and supervision systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software design, data preparation, system integration, validation/verification, and technical design governance.
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, with strong knowledge of requirements traceability, change management, and engineering processes.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers, suppliers, partners, and cross-functional teams throughout integration, testing, commissioning, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-site engineering teams on complex rail systems projects.
  • Oversee integration, testing, commissioning, and delivery of ATS/rail control systems.
  • Ensure governance of software design, validation, and verification processes.
  • Manage requirements and change control using tools like DOORS.

Candidates Must Have:
