Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Project Coordinator for Signals & Communications to oversee at-grade level crossing infrastructure design and construction. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, monitor schedules, and manage cost control across GO Transit projects while ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring a college diploma in a related field, 5+ years of railway signalling experience, and proficiency with project management tools.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related field or equivalent experience providing knowledge of railway signalling.
• Electrical Engineering Technology diploma is an asset.
• Minimum five years' experience in maintenance/planning/design of track, signal infrastructure, or railway projects.
• Good working knowledge of civil/ electrical systems and railway signal systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, monitor and report operating and capital expenditures for projects.
• Ensure approvals, design/ cost dispute resolution and schedule adherence.
• Administer project cost control and track monthly accruals.
• Monitor contractor performance for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Coordinate procurement, RFIs, tenders and contract submissions.
