Job summary

Alstom in Toronto, ON is seeking a Signaling and Civil Integration Specialist. You will manage the interface between signaling systems and civil works, ensuring compliant integration, timely delivery, and high-quality drawings and documentation for the project.

With a civil engineering background and at least five years of railway design experience, you will coordinate with multiple teams, prepare installation specs, and support field operations while adhering to safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of civil design experience, preferably in railway systems.
• Familiarity with BIM procedures and tools and signaling interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage interface between signaling systems and civil works to ensure integration and timely delivery.
• Prepare installation engineering activities, drawings, and documentation for civil scope.
• Coordinate with civil, track, OHE, and signaling teams to avoid clashes.
• Review layouts, verify standards compliance, and support field teams with design modifications.
• Prepare installation material specs and BoQs; support field quality dossiers for handover.
• Liaise with BIM coordinators for integrated deliverables and project repository maintenance.
• Ensure safety protocols on site and adapt to project requirements including night shifts.
