Job summary

Ledcor Group is seeking a Structures Manager with 8+ years of experience to lead bridge-related construction projects on a rail corridor in Ontario. You will develop execution plans, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with designers, clients, and technical teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and planning skills, with a track record of delivering large heavy civil projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with a major contractor on large heavy civil and bridges projects.
• Experience with construction of new bridges (Rail and Road)
• Experience working within Railway corridors and understanding rail corridor requirements
• Experience with CLOCA requirements and planning construction activities within creeks or watercourses.
• Knowledge of MTO and Ontario municipalities road construction standards and processes
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience planning and executing projects on schedule and within budget
• Proficiency with Excel, MS Projects, Word, Power Point and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Review project contractual documents to understand project requirements (design, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and environmental needs).
• Coordinate with designer, technical department and client on all technical aspects.
• Review and understand project design, technical reports and background information.
• Develop execution plans outlining construction staging, workplans, materials, equipment, and subcontracting.
• Provide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipment.
• Manage quantity take offs, BOQ, estimating and scope for structural and civil work.
• Lead project activities to meet designs, budgets and schedules while addressing deviations.
• Develop and manage client relationships, progress reports, and meetings.
• Monitor onsite activities, quality, productivity, safety and ensure compliance with plans.
• Anticipate roadblocks and develop solutions; implement safety programs.
• Manage RFIs and issue field instructions; prepare progress reports.
