Job description

Rail, Access & Temporary Station Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Rail, Access & Temporary Station Manager to oversee services at the Exhibition Station for the Ontario Line project. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing Rail, Access & Maintenance within large transit projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Prepare documentation for handover of the temporary station at each project stage.
  • Manage budgets and oversee expenses related to maintenance activities.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee repairs.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors.
  • Implement safety policies and standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of broadcasting equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts with performers for live radio performances.
  • Provide leadership and management to on-site teams responsible for Operations & Maintenance functions.

Rail Corridor Access Responsibilities:

  • Enhance safety within the rail corridor, manage track protection, and coordinate with subcontractors.
  • Provide education on safety protocols.
  • Manage access to the rail corridor, including transport and equipment allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities with various stakeholders, review documents, track progress, and communicate with vendors and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Technologist, or Construction Management.
  • Experience with NAPT and in the rail/transportation industry.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and documents.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Lotus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and adaptable to flexible schedules.
