Job summary

Ericsson Canada Inc. is seeking a motivated Co-op Student in Ottawa to join the Radio Architecture and Functions team. You will work on advanced wireless tech, ML applications, and signal processing for next-generation radio systems, collaborating across Canada and Sweden.

The role involves hands-on algorithm development, data analytics, and prototype HW/SW 테스트 in a lab with hardware and systems designers. Start date is January 2027, for 12 to 16 months, with Canada-specific eligibility

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Wireless Communications, Signal Processing, or AI/ML.
• Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++.
• Knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Linux development environments.
• Experience with FPGA, DSP, or embedded systems.
• Lab equipment experience like signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient algorithms (including machine learning) for radio products.
• Analyze field data for Ericsson product performance in customer networks.
• Develop simulation strategies and execute them.
• Set up prototype software and hardware test beds and environments.
• Execute HW/SW tests in a lab and collect data for analysis.
• Perform data analysis by extracting content from test results and logs.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems designers and assist in documentation and traceability.
• Assist in troubleshooting and solving product issues.
• Participate in team product/process reviews.
