Job summary

West End Radiators is seeking a dedicated full-time on-site Rad Tech Assembler to build rad cores from start to finish according to customer specifications.

You will interpret orders, operate production machinery, and use a mix of manual and automated processes with power tools while ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements in Imperial and Metric units.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.

The Mechanic position:

• We are hiring a dedicated full-time onsite Rad Tech Assembler who will build rad cores according to the customer specification from start to finish. We are looking for a team focused individual who will not only contribute to the success of the department, but to West End Radiators as a whole.

What you will do:

• Receive and interpret order dimensions from build sheets
• Operate radiator production machinery (saws, presses, shears, breaks, etc.) in a safe manner
• Use a mix of manual and automated processes with power and hand tools to build rad cores
• Measure products, verify and ensure customer specifications are met
• Use PPE (eyeglasses, gloves, etc.) as appropriate and follow all safety protocols
• Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualities and environmental requirements:

• Able to perform physical labour (lifting, pushing, hammering, etc.), capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Highly organized, efficient and responsible with strong attention to detail
• Able to take directions and complete tasks assigned
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure using Imperial and Metric measurements
• This position requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and handle repetitive operation of equipment, bending, reaching, kneeling, and stretching. Handling and gripping would be required for some activities. Exposure to dust/occasional excessive noise levels.
