Job summary

Griffith Foods is hiring an R&D Technician, Sauces & Dressings, to support innovative product development from concept to commercialization. You will assist with formulation, sample prep, pilot plant activities, and technical project support in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires a minimum 2-year college program in Food Science and over 1 year of relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and organization.

Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum 2-year College program in Food Science or a related field.
• More than 1 year of relevant experience in food product development, laboratory environments, or food manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and laboratory documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Batch samples and prepare sauces, dressings, condiments, and related products according to manufacturing instructions and formulations.
• Maintain laboratory ingredient inventory, source materials, labels, and supplies, and manage approved ingredient inventories.
• Conduct product evaluations, testing, experimentation, and support product development activities under the guidance of senior R&D team members.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Operate laboratory, analytical, and pilot plant equipment including pH meters, viscometers, water activity meters, and texture analyzers.
• Support plant trials, production trials, sensory evaluations, and product presentations.
• Package and ship samples to customers and support interactions with suppliers and clients as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, quality, and compliance standards within laboratory and pilot plant environments.
