Job summary

Gexel Telecom International Inc. is seeking an R&D/Scientific Technician to assist the R&D Coordinator and support the Quality and R&D Director in daily scientific activities. You will contribute to recipe development, document control, and regulatory compliance for new products.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality and food safety standards, supporting production tests, and maintaining ERP records while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with quality and food safety standards.
• Experience supporting R&D and QC teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to document procedures and results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Know and comply with quality and food safety standards and company policies.
• Develop and manage product recipes and related documentation.
• Modify recipes and update related records.
• Support process improvements and documentation for new products.
• Develop nutrition facts tables and product specifications per regulations.
• Maintain ERP data and assist with validation tests.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Plan scientific validation tests and coordinate production trials.

Position

Reporting to the Research and Development Coordinator, the R&D/Scientific Technician assist the R&D Coordinator and the Quality and R&D Director coordinates all daily in research and development and scientific activities.

Responsibilities

More specifically, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Know and comply at all times with applicable quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies;
• Develops and manages recipes according to demands, the market and applicable regulation
• Modifies recipes and adjust related documentation
• Helps to improve processes
• Develops specifications for new products according to the applicable regulations
• Develops and validates the local printings (labels, cases printings, etc.) according to the applicable regulations
• Maintain and modify the information contained in the ERP software
• Develops Nutrition Facts tables for products
• Documents R&D tests
• Implements new products
• Runs production tests for new products
• Develops and makes samples of new products for customers
• Offers technical support for questions from customers and consumers
• Plan and coordinate scientific validation tests
• Perform other tasks related to R&D and Scientific at the request of the immediate supervisor
