Job summary

Master Flo Valve Inc. is seeking a full-time permanent Research and Development (R&D) Technician to work in Edmonton, AB.

The role conducts tests and inspections to support the development of new and existing products, ensuring accuracy, safety, and cost effectiveness. Responsibilities include completing test procedures, recording data, assembling and testing equipment, troubleshooting, maintaining tools, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • Engineering diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Practical assembly experience (valves/chokes asset).
  • Practical test equipment experience asset.
  • Oil and gas industry experience asset.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and LabVIEW asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tests and inspections per procedures.
  • Records and presents data for engineering analysis.
  • Assembles and tests Master Flo products/test fixtures/equipment.
  • Troubleshoots products and fixtures as required.
  • Maintains all R&D equipment.
  • Keeps the R&D area clean and organized.
  • Provides input on design, assembly and productivity of products and fixtures.
  • Performs all operations with safety in mind.
  • Other duties as required.
