Job summary

Schulte Industries Ltd. is seeking a permanent full-time R&D Technician to support our R&D Department in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The role involves prototyping new equipment, fabricating fixtures, and operating heavy machinery as part of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work with ISO-compliant processes, test designs in real-world conditions, and assist with production problem-solving while occasionally representing the company at industry shows.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed some secondary schooling.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklifts.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements.
  • Knowledge of Schulte built products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture prototypes of new equipment (machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling, welding).
  • Manufacture welding fixtures (machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling, welding).
  • Operate forklifts, tractors, skid steers to move and test equipment.
  • Occasionally attend shows to promote products.
  • Evaluate product designs through field testing and documentation.
  • Provide production support regarding jig and manufacturing problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schulte Industries is currently looking for a permanent full-time R&D Technician to support our R&D Department.

Schulte Industries Ltd. is a world class manufacturer of rotary cutters, rock pickers & snow removal equipment. Our top quality products have earned us a reputation known throughout Canada, the United States & many Overseas countries.

Job Requirements/Duties:
  • Manufacture prototypes of new equipment (includes machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling and welding)
  • Manufacture welding fixtures (include machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling and welding)
  • Operate forklifts, tractors, skid steers to move, test equipment
  • Occasionally attend shows to promote products
  • Evaluate product designs through field testing and documentation
  • Offer production support in regard to problems with jigs and manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Knowledge of Schulte built products
  • Knowledge of ISO requirements
  • Able to use precision tools
  • Able to weld and operate fabrication equipment
  • Able to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, skid steer
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent stooping, reaching
  • Moving over rough, uneven ground
  • Working in/under cramped places
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
  • Using hand and fingers
  • Lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
  • Pushing, pulling or dragging up to 50lbs
  • Performing physical labor for large amounts of time daily
  • Working outside in the elements (cold, heat, rain, snow)
  • National and international travel while infrequent may be required on an occasional basis. Must possess a valid passport.

Must be willing to relocate to Englefeld/Humboldt area.

Hours of Work: 4, 10 hour days, 7:00am to 5:30pm. Monday to Thursday.
