This Position Reports To

R&D Engineer

The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers, working at the heart of industrial digital transformation. The Division’s portfolio includes analyzers for gases and liquids, instrumentation for process variables, force measurement solutions, and digital solutions for device management and predictive maintenance. Key industries served include oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, power, hydrogen, batteries, and marine. The division enables the optimization of industrial processes through data collection and analysis, supporting environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design instruments in compliance with requirements, costs, and timelines
  • Select and optimize manufacturing processes (CNC machining, molding, bending, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Review and seal drawings per geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards
  • Document mechanical designs, establish tolerance budgets and inspection plans
  • Supervise assembly, commissioning, and create test plans for prototypes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and deliver high-level presentations to clients
  • Contribute to planning tasks and technical proposals (estimations)
  • Support production occasionally

Requirements

  • Mechanical engineering degree with 5–10 years of experience in complex systems; optics, FEA, and harsh environments are assets
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, heat and surface treatments
  • Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, familiar with standards like ASME and ATEX
  • Innovative mindset, ownership, and continuous improvement drive
  • Member of OIQ and bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in technical environments

French is required; English is also necessary for communication with external customers.
