Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license; trade certifications are a plus in Ontario.
• 1–2 years' experience operating a front-end loader in quarry/mining.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and safety mindset.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate a face loader and other heavy equipment to load and transport materials.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-operational inspections and document issues.
• Load primary feed hopper or haul trucks efficiently, minimizing contamination.
• Maintain stockpiles, haul roads, and berms for a safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols and communicate with drivers and supervisors.
• Perform minor maintenance and report major issues.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and site safety.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental policies.
