Job summary

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) is seeking an Analyst in the Systematic Strategies Group (SSG). You will contribute to research, development, and implementation of systematic strategies and support portfolio construction and risk management across global markets.

Collaborate across SSG on quantitative research, portfolio analysis and investment activities to develop analytical tools and evaluate performance.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate co-op program, or PEY; or graduation in April 2026 or later.
• Studies in economics, finance, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics; advanced degree preferred.
• Interest in capital markets and investment management; knowledge of equities, futures, swaps or options is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development and implementation of systematic investment strategies and portfolio construction and risk management frameworks.
• Conduct quantitative research and analysis, present findings and contribute to discussions across SSG investment forums.
• Review existing investment strategies, processes and portfolio performance in partnership with colleagues across SSG.
• Contribute to management and analysis of multi-asset systematic investment portfolios, including performance, risk and positioning.
• Partner with Investment Engineering and Analytics colleagues to design and implement new analytical tools and modules.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of implemented strategies and portfolio performance to support investment research and decision‑making.
• Contribute to projects across investment research, data engineering and portfolio engineering as priorities evolve.
