Job summary

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) seeks an analytical finance operations professional to join the Real Assets and Private Investment Operations team. You will input trade tickets, process complex transactions, and prepare reports with governance and controls.

You\'ll partner with internal investment teams and external asset managers, support valuation reviews, maintain documentation, and look for process improvements while meeting deadlines in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, financial, and management accounting skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Input trade tickets and accounting entries accurately, ensuring transacted amounts, supporting documentation, and required authorizations are complete to facilitate investment closings.
• Support the processing of complex transactions and assess implications for accounting, reporting, and performance.
• Complete reports and reconciliations related to portfolio holdings and P&L, identifying issues, supporting corrective action, and escalating irregular activity or concerns.
• Support the quarterly valuation review process and ensure valuation adjustments are accurately recorded.
• Maintain complete and current agreements, related documentation, and process documentation, while monitoring ongoing reporting requirements and resolving discrepancies.
• Build effective working relationships with internal investment teams and external asset managers to support issue resolution, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to operational excellence by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and create efficiencies while effectively prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
