Job summary

TreeHouse Foods Brantford facility, located in Ontario, is seeking a Quality Technician II to perform complex chemical and physical testing across production stages and evaluate data to ensure product quality and reliability. You will make accept/reject decisions on raw materials and pre-shipment samples, and maintain testing procedures aligned with industry standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Food or related field is strongly preferred.
• One to three years of experience in quality control, laboratory testing, or a related role within a manufacturing or food production environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing techniques, quality assurance protocols and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing on products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Make accept/reject decisions on incoming raw materials and pre-shipment finished good samples.
• Possess a high degree of analytical and instrumentation training, and ability to make independent judgments.
• Interact with other departments to communicate testing results.
• Conduct routine sampling and auditing of packaging materials and raw ingredients for quality and specification adherence.
• Initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain and update testing procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
• Input and manage test results in the Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS) accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, following all laboratory safety protocols.

Job Description

About the Role: Our Brantford, Ontario, facility, a manufacturer of quality private label griddle products, is seeking a Quality Technician II. As a Quality Technician II, you will perform complex chemical and physical tests at various stages of the production process and compile and evaluate analytical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Important Details

This is a full‑time, on‑site role on third shift. Occasional flexibility may be required to support alternateshifts.

The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $29,000.00 - 70,000.00 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational insights.
