Job summary

COFOMO Montreal is seeking a Quality Specialist focused on automation to join our hybrid team. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for web and mobile apps, using Postman, Jira, Xray and Confluence to drive quality across sprints.

Fluent French is required for daily tasks, with English for documentation and collaboration with Canadian clients. You will work with QA engineers and developers to identify high-value automation opportunities, analyze API responses, and ensure

• Have relevant experience in test automation and IT quality assurance.
• Experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests.
• Experience in API test automation using Postman or equivalent.
• Master web application test automation.
• Know iOS and Android mobile test automation.
• Perform data validations using SQL.
• Experience with Jira and Xray for QA activities.
• Use Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
• Work in an environment combining manual and automated testing.
• Demonstrate autonomy and support automation initiatives.
• Strong analytical ability to target high-value automation opportunities.
• Combine QA expertise with strong technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the approach and strategy of test automation.

• Analyze execution results, diagnose failures, distinguish data vs test issues.
• Perform proof-of-concept using SQL, Postman, APIs, and data/log analysis.
• Integrate and scale automated test execution into delivery processes.
• Collaborate with QA specialists, developers, and others to integrate automation.
• Support stakeholders in identifying relevant scenarios to automate.
• Identify limitations and propose concrete solutions or workarounds.
• Document automation approaches and practices in Confluence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices.
