Job summary

EMERES INC. in Montreal seeks a Quality & Process Lead to own quality strategy across all engineering teams.

You will select, implement, and maintain quality tooling (e.g., SonarQube), define standards, and track metrics to ensure quality becomes part of how we ship. Lead and grow the QA engineering function, including QA Engineers and SDETs, drive test automation strategy, and integrate quality checkpoints into sprint and release planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering or QA leadership.
• Hands-on with static analysis tools (SonarQube) and CI quality gates.
• Strong test automation framework experience.
• Experience driving engineering process improvements across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive quality strategy across all engineering teams.
• Select, implement, and maintain quality tooling such as SonarQube and CI gates.
• Define and enforce code review standards and coding guidelines.
• Drive test automation strategy and coverage across teams.
• Track and report quality metrics to engineering leadership.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and TPMs to embed quality in sprint/release planning.
• Lead and grow the QA engineering function (QA Engineers/SDETs).
• Continuously improve engineering processes to raise quality without slowing teams.
