Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) in Ontario is seeking a Quality & Patient Safety professional to drive unit-level improvements and support the annual Quality Improvement Plan. You will collaborate with clinical and corporate leadership to advance patient safety and experience initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a health discipline, business admin, or related field required.
• Master’s degree in MBA, Quality & Patient Safety, or related field preferred.
• Certification in Patient Safety or completion of a PM program is an asset.
• 3–5 years of hospital or healthcare experience.
• Criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of unit level quality and utilization improvements.
• Support the development and implementation of goals and action plans as outlined in the annual Quality Improvement Plan.
• Lead the review of quality-of-care cases including patient safety events and critical incidents.
• Resource and implement key patient experience initiatives.
• Coordinate unit level compliance with accreditation and other patient safety standards.
• Analyze and use data to inform decisions for quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching and mentoring on quality improvement strategies at the unit level.
• Support quality, patient safety & experience departmental projects and corporate QI priorities.
