Job summary

Cuisinesaction in Granby and Sainte-Sabine seeks a Quality Manager to coordinate QA activities across two plants, partnering with Production and other departments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a DEC in industrial engineering or quality management and at least five years of manufacturing QA experience, including ISO/AS9100 standards and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Prepare reports for management and participate in meetings.
• Collaborate with maintenance to ensure proper equipment upkeep.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Operations, the Quality Manager coordinates and oversees all quality-related activities for both plants - the Granby plant and the Sainte-Sabine plant- while maintaining close collaboration with the Production department and the company's various other departments.

Profile required

Independence, a methodical approach, resourcefulness, leadership, and availability. Ability to work under pressure, motivate teams, and travel between the two plants as needed.

• Coordinate, supervise and audit production quality activities at both plants, located in Granby and Sainte-Sabine;
• Analyze production operations, identify quality issues and develop action plans in collaboration with the relevant teams, monitor their implementation through completion and ensure that results are maintained;
• Act as a resource person for all quality-related matters, analyze critical cases and propose appropriate solutions;
• Provide technical support to production lines to guide decision-making regarding material quality;
• Support and train new employees on quality matters, and contribute to the employee evaluation process in this regard;
• Participate in technical projects and contribute to the execution, support and documentation of technical testing;
• Recommend improvements aimed at continuously optimizing quality;
• Provide cross-functional support to other departments within the company;
• Prepare reports for management and participate in meetings;
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that equipment is maintained properly and efficiently;
• Perform any other duties directly related to the position.

Prerequisites

• College diploma (DEC) in industrial engineering or quality management;
• Minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance experience in the manufacturing sector;
• Experience in inspection and quality control within a manufacturing environment;
• Experience in process improvement within a similar industry;
• Knowledge of applicable quality standards, including ISO and AS9100 standards;
• Knowledge of the construction and cabinetry industries (an asset);
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
