Job summary

Foliot Furniture seeks a Team Leader – Quality to coordinate quality activities across its Saint‑Jerôme and Mirabel facilities. You will mentor the quality team, drive corrective actions, and ensure ongoing ISO 9001 compliance while collaborating with production, R&D, and purchasing to enhance product quality.

You’ll analyze performance data, lead improvement projects, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• AEC in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Industrial Engineering or related training.

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and engage the quality team across two facilities.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality indicators, identify trends, and reduce defects and customer complaints.
• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 QMS including audits and non-conformance follow-up.
• Coordinate supplier corrective action requests and monitor effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Purchasing, and Customer Service to optimize processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and share best practices.
• Present quality results and recommendations to key stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a Team Leader – Quality to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating quality activities across our two manufacturing facilities, supporting and developing team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in problem-solving, defect prevention, and the implementation of sustainable solutions to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Coach, train, and engage the quality team while aligning practices across both facilities.
• Perform root cause analyses and ensure the implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality performance indicators, identify trends, and recommend actions to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
• Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including documentation, audits, and non-conformance follow-up.
• Coordinate supplier corrective action requests and monitor their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and promote the sharing of best practices between both facilities.
• Present quality results and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Requirements

• AEC in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Industrial Engineering, a Diploma in Industrial Engineering Technology, or related training.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, including leadership or team coordination experience.
• Knowledge of problem‑solving tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, Ishikawa (Fishbone Diagram), FMEA, and Pareto Analysis.
• Experience with an ISO 9001 Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English communication skills.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing or wood processing is considered an asset.
