Qualifications

  • 2-5 Jahre Erfahrung im Qualitätsmanagement in der Fertigung, vorzugsweise in der Papier- oder Zellstoffindustrie.
  • Fähigkeit zur Analyse von Qualitätsdaten und zur Umsetzung von Verbesserungen.

Responsibilities

  • Aufbau und Pflege von Qualitätskontrollprozessen einschließlich Inspektionen und Audits.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Teams zur Lösung von Qualitätsproblemen.

Job description

Join to apply for the Quality Manager role at Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd.

Atlantic Packaging is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support our facility in Mississauga.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a highly seasoned quality professional with expertise in developing and executing Quality Management strategies. They should have a strong aptitude for process improvement and root cause analysis, and possess excellent leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills across organizational levels. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, especially within the paper/packaging industry, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and audits.
  2. Collaborate with production, design, shipping, and other teams to address quality concerns, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  3. Monitor and analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
  4. Promote a culture of Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Quality awareness.
  5. Prepare and present quality reports to management, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  6. Travel (using own vehicle) to client sites and other Atlantic Packaging facilities as needed (up to 20%).
  7. Track and improve quality KPIs and NCRs, recommend and implement CAPAs, and communicate quality initiatives.
  8. Stay updated with industry standards and ensure compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards.
  9. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  10. Provide training for production and quality assurance personnel.
  11. Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities.
  12. Handle credit receipts for clients and coordinate with invoicing.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with health and safety practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Paper Science, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper or pulp industry.
  • Experience with quality tools and techniques (Lean, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, NCRs & CAPAs).
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and coaching abilities to support a high-performing quality team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present confidently to high-level audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple activities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel.
  • Clear criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks.
