A leading company in aviation technology is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product quality and compliance with standards. The role involves utilizing inspection equipment, preparing documentation, and conducting audits to sustain high-quality production. Candidates should have a strong background in quality assurance with relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilizes inspection equipment, precision and non, to perform Inspection of product characteristics as documented on work package documentation and as outlined in product drawing.
• Determines acceptance or rejection of product characteristics based on documented acceptance criteria, and industry acceptance standards.
• Processes documentation applicable to work package and performs associated data entry
• Prepares FAI documentation as required by work package, and supports maintenance and data entry into FAI database and associated work sheets.
• Prepares FAI inspection on DISCUS and customer designated software
• Performs inspection activities for IIQP, RIQP, FIQP requirements for customer deliveries
• Performs in process audits of manufacturing orders
• Supports tool validation and calibration process.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Residency in order to qualify under the Control Goods Program Canada
• College Diploma in mechanical, manufacturing engineering technology or a related discipline. CQT or CQE designation an asset
• 2-3 years' experience in a Quality role in a manufacturing environment
• Operational knowledge of quality inspection and documentation such as PPAP, FAI, FPI, CMM report
• English fluency with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on being practical and meticulous
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization from shop floor to CEO
• Highly proficient in MS Office – Excel, Word. Knowledge of Lotus Notes an asset.
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Ability to read part drawings and specifications
• Ability to work well within a small team and work independently
• Follow both Safran Production guidelines and Safran Policies & Procedures as per AS9100 QMS
• Ability to lift and pull up to 50lbs
• Other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager
