Job summary

Job description

SAFRAN ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS CANADA INC recrute:

Descriptif mission

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilizes inspection equipment, both precision and non-precision, to perform inspection of product characteristics as documented on work package documentation and as outlined in product drawings.
  2. Determines acceptance or rejection of product characteristics based on documented acceptance criteria and industry standards.
  3. Processes documentation related to work packages and performs associated data entry.
  4. Prepares FAI documentation as required by work packages, supports maintenance and data entry into FAI database and associated worksheets.
  5. Prepares FAI inspection reports using DISCUS and customer-designated software.
  6. Performs inspection activities for IIQP, RIQP, FIQP requirements for customer deliveries.
  7. Conducts in-process audits of manufacturing orders.
  8. Supports tool validation and calibration processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Residency to qualify under the Control Goods Program Canada.
  • College Diploma in mechanical, manufacturing engineering technology, or a related discipline. CQT or CQE designation is an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Operational knowledge of quality inspection and documentation such as PPAP, FAI, FPI, CMM reports.
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, practical and meticulous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, from shop floor to CEO.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of Lotus Notes is an asset.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings and specifications.
  • Capable of working well in a small team and independently.
  • Adherence to Safran Production guidelines and Policies & Procedures as per AS9100 QMS.
  • Ability to lift and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
