Job summary

S&C Electric Canada Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineering Support co‑op to join our QA team in Toronto, onsite, for the Winter 2027 term (8 months).

You will support quality improvement projects, ensure changes to processes and drawings are complete, and monitor performance. Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, registered in a co‑op program, with an interest in design and manufacturing; VB proficiency and strong communication are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Registered co‑op program available for an 8‑month placement starting Winter 2027.
• Interest in engineering design and manufacturing.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Proficient in Visual Basic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational performance metrics.
• Summarize and present reports.
• Identify operational issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 - $36.40. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co‑op work terms completed.

The Quality Engineering Support (Co‑op) is responsible for supporting quality improvement projects, ensuring that changes to processes and drawings are complete, as well as monitoring performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring of operational performance metrics.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Some manufacturing experience is an asset.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Effort

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day‑to‑day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
