Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to drive Gen AI and automation testing across Web, Mobile, and API platforms.

You will own the quality strategy, mentor teams, and partner with development to implement shift-left testing, maintain automated suites in high-frequency CI/CD environments, and leverage cloud-based testing platforms to ensure scalable, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong QA and test automation experience.
• Expertise in Web testing with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Mobile testing experience with Appium or XCUITest.
• API testing experience with Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiar with service virtualization tools like WireMock.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (Perfecto, LambdaTest, Sauce Labs).
• Proficient in CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Quality Engineering Lead – Gen AI & Automation Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Gen AI across all testing phases, including automated test case generation, synthetic test data creation, and intelligent defect analysis
• Own and drive quality strategy across Web, Mobile (iOS/Android), and API platforms
• Partner with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices and automation-first quality engineering
• Architect and maintain automated test suites within high-frequency CI/CD pipelines
• Leverage service virtualization and cloud-based testing platforms to support scalable testing environments
• Design and implement CI/CD pipeline enhancements to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate with Agile teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure product quality

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Quality Engineering and test automation experience
• Expertise in Web testing using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Experience with Mobile testing tools such as Appium, XCUITest, or equivalent
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with service virtualization tools such as WireMock
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms including Perfecto, LambdaTest, or Sauce Labs
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Git version control, branching, and merge strategies
• Experience leveraging Gen AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or QA agents for test automation and optimization
• Experience with performance testing and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks and AI-driven Quality Engineering solutions
• Experience building AI-powered testing accelerators and automation frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps practices
• Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments
• Exposure to SRE, monitoring, and reliability engineering practices

Salary Range

CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
