Northwest Aerospace Technologies (“NAT”), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. Focusing on commercial and military aircraft, NAT provides first class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue Chip customers.

In the role of Quality Engineer you'll play a pivotal part on our Quality team. This position contributes to our vision by:

  1. Managing the Quality System. Will recommend the revision of specifications and formulate Quality System policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct training in all aspects of the Quality Management System, corrective action, and monitoring and measuring concepts and tools.
  3. The Quality Engineer is the control point for the analysis, reporting and training of a product line or lines.
  4. Experience with the AS9100D and AS9102 standards inspection planning, tools and processes required.
  5. Managing and maintaining the Internal and External Corrective Action system for NAT.
  6. Managing and maintaining the Internal and External Audit process for NAT.
  7. Managing and maintaining nonconformance process, tool calibration and conduct investigations and corrective actions into product failures and external and internal non-conformities.
  8. Identify continual improvement opportunities and investigate implementation of the opportunities.
  9. Conduct internal and external quality audits of NAT's Quality Management System (QMS) and suppliers.
  10. Works with the quality control and production personnel to drive the continuous improvement process.
  11. Monitors and assists first article inspection (FAI) information system.
  12. Other duties assigned by the Director of Quality.
Job Requirements

Safran NAT is seeking one (1) Quality Engineer at Level 3 or 4:

Level 3 Qualifications:
  1. Education: BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.
  2. Experience: 5-7 years' experience within the quality environment.
  3. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Office, and with MRP systems. Advanced Excel skills.
  4. Other Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and communication skills. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature is necessary. Familiar with general quality systems.
Level 4 Qualifications:
  1. Education: BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.
  2. Experience: 8-10 years' experience within the quality environment.
  3. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Office, and with MRP systems. Advanced Excel skills.
  4. Other Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and communication skills. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature is necessary. Proficient with general quality systems.
