Job summary

EA SPORTS is seeking a Quality Verification professional to own a live feature, driving end-to-end testing and collaboration with Content Producers and Software Engineers in a fast-paced, live-service environment.

You will design advanced manual and automated test suites, leverage telemetry data for prioritisation, and champion new automation frameworks to raise product quality across EA SPORTS FC content.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience playing EA Sports FC, including Ultimate Team modes.
• Proficiency in web application automation and analyzing script outputs.

About the Role

This role reports to the Development Director and is part of the Quality Verification (QV) team that helps deliver and protect revenue for EA SPORTS FC. It acts as a feature owner and subject matter expert for a key team deliverable, enhancing the content curation experience by integrating new technologies and driving test automation and process improvements within the Live Curation-Content QV operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own a specific live feature and act as the subject matter expert for its content type, driving end-to-end communication and coordination with partner teams.
• Apply deep domain expertise to guide testing procedures, end-to-end plans, and product lifecycle dependencies.
• Plan complex test and process activities for live campaigns, managing broad dependencies and risks based on defined qualitative strategies.
• Design and execute advanced manual and automated test suites that provide extensive coverage across areas of responsibility.
• Interpret product-level data and adapt existing metrics or KPIs to continuously raise quality requirements.
• Build advanced, accurate reports leveraging multiple data sources to deliver targeted insights to project stakeholders.
• Drive project-wide strategy and operational improvements by evaluating existing tactics, quality risks, and opportunities, taking a data-driven approach to test prioritisation based on live patterns, telemetry, and unique product factors.
• Research and implement innovative test designs and methodologies, including advanced technologies such as AI and Machine Learning, for testing workflows.
• Execute specialised validations for highly complex features and manage scalable test execution across large franchise projects.
• Champion the adoption of new automation frameworks, ensuring they meet team needs and are actively utilised.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge and experience playing EA Sports FC, including game modes like Ultimate Team.
• Proficiency in software automation (specifically for web applications) and the ability to analyse script outputs for maintenance or bug fixing.
• Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills to engage effectively with Content Producers and Software Engineers in a fast-paced, live-service environment.
• Experience using data to engineer informed testing solutions and prioritise daily workflows in collaboration with leadership.
• Ability to build strategic cross-functional relationships and develop test plans that incorporate alternative validation methods (data, telemetry, and automation).
• A future-state mindset with a proven ability to assess current workflows and present innovative growth ideas, specifically leveraging advanced technology like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for quality verification.
• Active contribution to the Quality Designer (QD) community goals by owning initiatives, delivering outputs, and proactively engaging peers for feedback.
• A champion of collaboration who consults with the right subject matter experts to achieve broader craft goals.
