Job summary

AVL Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator to support incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

You will ensure compliance with purchase orders, customer and product specifications, and standard industrial guidelines, and maintain calibrations and non-conformance processes. The role requires reading engineering drawings, performing audits, and contributing to ISO quality improvements within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Technology preferred.
• 3–4 years of ISO manufacturing experience preferred (Welding/Fabrication, Power Generation, or Manufacturing).
• Preference given to supplier quality auditing experience and to those with CWB welding inspection experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and CSA W47.1 and W59 welding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections per purchase orders and specs.
• Maintain calibrations and non-conformance process.
• Assist in corrective actions to resolve issues during inspection activities.
• Contribute to maintenance and improvement of the ISO quality system.
• Familiarity with NDT testing techniques such as MPI & LPI.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and prepare non-conformance reports.
• Communicate quality issues daily with all departments.
• Lift up to 50 lb and work within close tolerances.

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Quality Coordinator to add to our team!

Job Summary:

The Quality Coordinator is primarily responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with purchase orders, customer and product specifications, and standard industrial guidelines. Additional primary responsibilities include maintaining the calibrations and non-conformance process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supplier/Sub Contractors inspections and auditing.
• Inspections of fabrication welds and understanding of CWB welding processes.
• Ensure that all quality requirements and documentation are complete for projects, including quality-related data collection and record keeping.
• Aids in troubleshooting problems during inspection activities and recommends corrective action to resolve issues.
• Assists in the maintenance and improvement of the ISO quality system required.
• Familiarity with NDT testing techniques such as MPI & LPI.
• Communicate daily with all departments regarding quality issues.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring devices and equipment and solid mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prepare non-conformance reports neatly and accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor

Job Specific Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Experience:

• A diploma in Mechanical/ Industrial Technology is preferred.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in an ISO manufacturing environment. Preferably within the Welding/Fabrication, Power Generation, or Manufacturing sectors.
• Preference will be given to those with Supplier Quality Auditing experience.
• Preference will be given to those with previous CWB fabrication welding inspection experience.
• Experience working with ISO 9001 and CSA W47.1 and W59 welding requirements.
• Must be able to work within close tolerances and should be able to lift 50lb.
