Wesgar Inc. in Port Coquitlam, BC is seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator to support our Quality team and maintain a strong QMS.

You will coordinate inspection activities, support ISO 9001:2015 compliance, manage corrective actions, and work cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of manufacturing quality experience, strong QA tools knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QA systems.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, FAI, NCR, CAR, CAPA, and RMA processes.
  • Root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and 8D.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, inspection criteria, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily inspection activities based on production needs and quality risks.
  • Support ISO 9001:2015 QMS maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate calibration of gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
  • Assist audits and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Lead and monitor NCR, CAR, CAPA, RMA, and root-cause investigations.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Coordinator to support our Quality team and help maintain a strong, effective Quality Management System.

This role is responsible for coordinating inspection activities, supporting ISO 9001:2015 compliance, managing corrective actions, monitoring quality performance, and working cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing quality experience, solid knowledge of quality systems and problem-solving tools, and the ability to organize multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily inspection activities and prioritize work based on production needs, customer requirements, and quality risks.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate calibration of gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
  • Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits, including follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
  • Lead and track NCR, CAR, CAPA, RMA, and root-cause investigation activities through closure.
  • Support customer complaints and quality issues, including 8D reports, containment, corrective actions, and follow-up.
  • Review quality data and KPIs, including DPPM, scrap, rework, NCRs, RMAs, and customer complaints, to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and other customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Programming, Purchasing, Customer Service, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain quality records, procedures, work instructions, and training documentation.
  • Coach and support Quality Inspectors in inspection methods, documentation, problem solving, and QMS requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, rework, scrap, and inspection delays.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2-4 years previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machining, or a similar industry.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, Quality Management Systems, and auditing principles.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, FAI, NCR, CAR, CAPA, and RMA processes.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and 8D.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection criteria, and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, measurement systems, calibration, and common inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with SPC, Cp/Cpk, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience with ERP, QMS, or electronic document management systems.
  • Familiarity with CMM or 3D measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of UL, CSA, or similar industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting supplier quality activities and supplier audits.
Schedule & Pay Details
  • Shift: Day shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
  • Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
  • Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Work Location: In person
