Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.****What You'll Be Doing*** Collect aggregate samples from pits, quarries, stockpiles, autosamplers, and production belts following standardized procedures.* Travel regularly throughout Southern Alberta, including frequent trips from Calgary and through to Medicine Hat, to visit various aggregate pits along the way to support sampling and quality activities. A pool vehicle will be available for business-related travel.* Conduct routine sampling and testing of materials to ensure product quality and compliance including sieve analysis, gradation checks, moisture content tests, and other aggregate-related tests.* Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying quality issues and contributing to corrective actions.* Collaborate with production and quality teams while maintaining accurate records, proper equipment calibration, and safe, organized work areas.**What We Are Looking For*** Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred, with experience in aggregate, mining, and construction environments.* Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured field and lab procedures.* Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.* Experience operating drones or holding a valid drone license is an asset.* Valid Class 5 driver's license.**Work Environment*** Work performed in both laboratory and outdoor industrial settings.* Frequent regional travel is required, including significant driving to aggregate pit locations throughout Southern Alberta.* Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and moving equipment.* Role may involve standing, walking, operating testing tools or machinery, and lifting up to 50lbs as part of regular job duties.* Use of personal protective equipment required.**What We Offer*** Competitive base salary $67,640 - $81,170* Industry leading benefits package, including health, dental, and wellness* Pension plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions and RRSP options* Opportunities for training, development, career growth within a global organizationHeidelberg Materials welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
