Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking an inspector to visually and dimensionally assess raw materials and finished products in Vaughan, Canada. You will use calipers, gauges and measuring tools to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, reading English instructions, and basic math. You will document results, maintain tool calibrations, and support shipping reconciliations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English, proficient in technical communication, and basic math.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds.
• Basic proficiency with measuring instruments for inspection.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and finished products visually and dimensionally using gauges and calipers.
• Segregate non-conforming product or material.
• Review material test reports and certificates against specs.
• Maintain calibration records for measuring tools.
• Complete documentation and data entry for work performed.
• Reconcile outgoing shipments as required.

Job Description

• Accurately inspect Raw Materials and Finished Products visually and dimensionally with gauges, scales, calipers, rulers, protractors, squares and other measuring instruments in accordance with Work Instructions and specifications.
• Segregate Non-Conforming product or Material
• Review of Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance, Lab Test Results against specifications and requirements.
• Maintain Calibration and Verification list and records for measuring tools
• Complete required documentation for work performed
• Perform data entry of work results into appropriate databases
• Reconcile outgoing shipments, as required
• Meet all tk accelis Materials Plus employee attributes and competencies

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write English, proficient in technical communication, and performance of basic math problems.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds
• Basic proficiency of measuring instruments for inspection of products (combination square, tape measure, scales, gauges, calipers, protractors etc.)
• Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred requirements:

• College courses or certificates in Quality Assurance-related field of study
• Experience using basic measurement instruments
• Experience in a Quality Assurance Inspection role

Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
