Mag Instrument, the manufacturer of Mag Lite Flashlights, is actively recruiting an experienced Quality Control / Quality Assurance professional with experience in high-volume machining, manual assembly, automatic assembly, and packaging of consumer products.

Job Description

The selected individual will be responsible for supervising personnel engaged in inspecting flashlight electronics, machined, molded, and stamped parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. This person will establish and carry out inspection procedures to ensure parts, subassemblies, and assemblies meet the required specifications. They will work closely with upper management, Engineering, Machining, Assembly, and Packaging personnel to develop systematic production processes that ensure quality and suitability for their intended purposes.

Responsibilities include organizing and assigning work, planning, scheduling, instructing, guiding, and assisting inspection personnel.

Qualifications :

• 10+ years of proven QC and QA experience in a fast-paced consumer products manufacturing environment.
• Experience inspecting electronics, machined, molded, and stamped parts, as well as assemblies and subassemblies.
• Ability to oversee inspections of all raw materials.
• Thorough knowledge of quality assurance and control processes and procedures.
• Hands-on, self-motivated, with effective leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Perform daily quality inspections throughout the facility.
• Maintain an up-to-date in-house calibration process for all inspection gauges.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or QC / QA.
