Reporting to the Director, Distribution Operations, the Quality Control Supervisor leads inventory control and quality processes within the Distribution Centre, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a high level of customer service. This role oversees inventory investigations, cycle counts, adjustments, returns, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving compliance and operational excellence.
What you will do:
- Lead inventory control and quality assurance activities to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and operational excellence across the Distribution Centre.
- Oversee cycle count programs, inventory investigations, and adjustment processes to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory variances, losses, and damages.
- Oversee product returns and damaged goods processes, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation, and disposition.
- Partner with warehouse operations, customer service, and supply chain teams to resolve inventory and fulfillment issues while improving customer satisfaction.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce inventory control procedures, quality standards, and audit processes to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Support inventory audits, compliance requirements, and cost-control initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing losses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support shared business objectives and contribute to ongoing operational improvements.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, quality assurance, or supply chain environments.
- 2+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, reconciliation, warehouse processes, and quality standards.
- Experience investigating inventory discrepancies, damages, returns, and other operational issues, with a focus on identifying root causes and driving improvements.
- Proficient with WMS, ERP, inventory management systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, warehouse compliance requirements, and loss prevention practices.
- Experience in wholesale distribution and familiarity with material handling equipment are considered assets.
