Job summary

NexKemia seeks a Quality Control Manager based in Mansonville, QC. The role leads the laboratory, directs staff, and ensures safe, compliant operations while managing raw materials and finished products to meet specifications.

You will drive quality improvements, participate in new product specification development, and collaborate across departments to support ongoing R&D and product development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry or related field).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• French/English bilingualism is an asset due to communication needs (75% French, 25% English).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory operations and staff management.
• Manage procurement, supplier communications, and lab meetings.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely by the team.
• Ensure pilot plant tasks are carried out and completed.
• Train team members and monitor progress.
• Release finished products in line with specifications.
• Approve incoming raw materials per specs and manage non-conforming items.
• Collaborate with other departments on improvement projects.
• Support Product Development Director on new projects.
