Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor (R&D) to lead inspection and testing in the pipe mill, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer requirements. You will guide shop floor teams and collaborate across the organization to drive quality improvements.

The successful candidate will have ISO 9001 knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to develop procedures, trainings, and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the quality department of a manufacturing-related business.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-based quality systems.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection and testing activities within the pipe mill to ensure quality standards.
• Provide leadership to shop floor teams and collaborate across the organization to drive quality improvements.
• Perform audits (first piece validation, shift changes) and document results; identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify non-conformances and develop solutions with the operating department to limit non-compliant products.
• Dispositions for coil, in-process, or finished pipe on quality hold.
• Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Develop/improve inspection procedures and training materials.
• Disposi­tion of off-site quality problems in the Red Deer area.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, trials, and data collection.
