Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor in Canada to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive product quality across materials from aggregates to cement. You will manage shifts, calibrate equipment, and deliver timely quality reports.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Materials Engineering or related field, plus 5+ years in a lab or QC environment, with SAP, MS Office, and Google Suite proficiency. Travel is limited and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a laboratory or quality-controlled industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of material properties and geochemistry; quality control experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and personnel scheduling for shifts and overtime.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and ensure service quality.
• Ensure products meet technical specifications from aggregates to cement.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and service schedules.
• Validate accuracy and timeliness of quality reports to customers.
• Review blast results and monitor stockpile inventory for customer demand.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production to optimize plant availability.
• Support site management with technical requirements for bids and special projects.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies; promote safety culture.
• Communicate laboratory results and operational issues to site management.
